Frequently asked questions Tell me about the addictions program?PCHS provides the following services in the addictions program: 1.   Day program – runs four days (Monday to Thursday from 10 AM to 1 PM) 2.   Men’s group program – every Saturday, from 9:30 to 12:30 PM 3.   Relapse prevention group – every Friday, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM 4.   1:1 counselling every day (Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 5:00 PM) Contact: 905.677.0889 or 905.794.0889  Tell me about the mental health program?PCHS provides the following services in the mental health program: 1.   1:1 counselling and case management program 2.   On site psychiatrist is available on once per month basis 3.   Family counselling as per need Contact: 905.790.0808  Tell me about the Sahara Seniors Program?PCHS provides the following services in the Sahara Seniors program: Component One – Day Program The day program consists of arts and crafts, nutrition, special events, music, games, exercise, interesting speakers, computer training, cards, games and outings Component Two – Wellness and Health Promotion Services The wellness and health promotion services consist of physical activity, healthy eating, health information, health fairs, and managing stress Component Three – Resource Development The resource development program consists of audio visual and print resources which also includes website development. Component Four – Transportation Central West – LHIN has provided a Van to look after the transportation needs of the Seniors. Component Five – Health Related Clinics Health clinics will be organized in partnerships with other agencies to look after the health needs of seniors (blood pressure, immunization, senior abuse, and arthritis). Component Six – Home Visits Trained Volunteers and staff will make home visits in order to socially and medically engage isolated seniors. Component Seven – Mentoring Program Young and healthy seniors will be trained to help frail and elderly seniors. These seniors will be the backbone of the home visiting program.  Tell me about the Parenting Program? PCHS provides three parenting programs: 1.   1st Sunday of every month, Malton Gurdwara, Hall No.4, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM 2.   1st Monday and 3rd Monday of every month, Glidden Road Gurdwara, 6:00 Pm to 8:00 PM  Children are allowed in the parenting sessions. Children from ages 3 years to 18 years are welcome. Parents and grandparents are welcome.  |
