What is the SAHARA Food Bank Program?

 

SAHARA Food Bank Program provides support to needy families. The Food Bank coordinator receives a referral from the PCHS Staff or an agency worker or from an individual and determines the need of the client. The client can arrange with the coordinator to pick-up or have the food dropped off to clients home.

Individuals and Families in need

 

What are the major benefits?

 

The benefits are substantial and include:

Services are in English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu

Food and other household items are provided to the South Asian clients.

 

How are referrals made?

 

Referrals are made by calling 905.677.0889.

Anyone can make a referral and talk to the coordinator

 

Where is the Program located?

 

The program is located at 2829 Derry Road East, Mississauga, Ontario, L4T 1A5

 

 

What are the hours of operation?

 

Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
