What is the Volunteer Program?

Punjabi Community Health Services provides opportunities to community members to participate in helping the South Asian Community. The Volunteer Program is designed to provide opportunity to new immigrants, students and those who want to contribute back to the community. PCHS provides reference letters for those who have volunteered in the community.

 

Who can benefit?

13+ years old.

 

What are the major benefits?

The high school students who volunteer with us will be awarded 40 hours of community service. All volunteers will be provided a Refence Letter. Volunteers will benefit by acquiring Canadian experience. PCHS also considers student placements from Community colleges and universities.

 

How are referrals made?

Referrals are made by calling 905.677.0889 to 905.790.0808

 

Where is the Program located?

The v olunteers may be placed at any one of our office locations:

2829 Derry Road East, Mississauga, Ontario, L4T 1A5

 

What are the hours of operation?

Every day from Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some evening and weekend work is involved.
